Evening Worship at 6pm
There is a monthly evening service of a more contemplative nature, exploring themes on healing. The next service will be on 22 July.
Music in the Gardens
The annual season of Music in the Gardens will run on every Sunday afternoon in July and August, starting from 2pm, with the music beginning around 3pm, and finishing around 5pm.
The very varied programme of musicians includes a range of instrumentalists, singers, dancers and brass bands. Light refreshments are available, and you are welcome to bring a picnic but strictly no alcohol please. No admission charge, but donations towards costs are welcome. Any proceeds from refreshments and donations will be given to Action for Children.
Summer Splash - Wednesday 11 July from 10am to 11.30am
A morning of activities for 0-4's with a parent or carer including craft, songs, action, and a story about Jesus and his friends in a boat in stormy weather. Outdoor play afterwards - including watery activities (please bring a towel!). No charge, but donations welcome for Water Aid for projects in developing countries.
The regular Wednesday Toddlers will not meet on 11 July, but will be back on 18 July for one week only before its summer break.
Summer Picnics - Thursday 26 July - Thursday 23 August, from 10.30am
This year, Summer Picnics will be on Thursdays, from any time from 10.30am - 12.30pm. Events are geared to under 3's but pre-school children are welcome, and there will be a separate area for younger babies. There will be indoor activities too, so that we still have fun even if it rains!
Bring your own picnic, but drinks and biscuits will be available. £2 donation per family.
Everyone is welcome to stay into the afternoon for the 'summer drop-in' that will happeen instead of Open House on a Thursday.
Note that on 30 August, there will be no activities, and access will be for health visitor clinics only.
Open House - every Thursday in the Church Hub, 10am to 4pm
Open Thursdays will take a break for the summer after Thursday 19 July, but instead there will be a 'summer drop-in' following on from the Toddler Picnics from 1.30pm to 3.30pm from 26 July to 23 August inclusive. On 30 August, access will be for health visitor clinics only. The health visitor clinics are operating as normal throughout the summer.
An informal drop-in, where everyone is welcome to pop in at any time for a chat or light refreshments in the big carpeted open church space. Play area for young children. Informal prayers are held at 12.00pm in the Lounge, and all are welcome to join in. Once a month, these prayers include Holy Communion.
Our prayer network is a means by which prayer requests of pastoral concern can be relayed to those who have expressed a desire to pray in this way. Alison Macdonald is coordinating this task, in conjunction with our minister, Sister Myrtle Poxon who ensures prayer requests are appropriate and do not breach confidentiality. Prayer requests are then passed on by text, email, or phone to the members of the prayer network.
If you would like to join the prayer network, or have a prayer request, please email Alison Macdonald. Alternatively, requests for prayers can be left in a box in the church porch - these are then used in our worship services throughout the week.
Exercise Classes for the Over 60s.
