CAROLS ROUND THE TREE - Wednesday 13 December, 10am
The regular Community groups run by the church for pre-school children, Baby Talk and Toddlers, finish their regular sessions for this term on 5 and 6 December, but all under 4's with parents/carers are welcome to Carols around the Tree from 10am on Wednesday 13 December. Play space and seasonal refreshments available.
See Christmas Diary for under 5's for information on all the activities and services that are particularly suitable for younger children over the Christmas period.
LIVE NATIVITY - Saturday 16 December, 5.15pm
The event will begin at 5.15pm in the church and we then journey with Mary, Joseph and the (live) donkey to Bethlehem, visit the shepherds (and their live sheep), and follow the wise men as they search for baby Jesus, ending back at the church for the final scene and some carols.
As we will be walking round the grounds, please ensure you are dressed appropriately with sensible shoes and coats, and it would be helpful to bring a torch. To help everyone see and hear, there will be two groups making their way around the tableaux in the grounds, so the second group will wait in the church for a short while after the first scene before setting out.
Light refreshments will only be available after the event, so please bring any snacks that you or your children may need during the nativity.
Note that there will be no parking in the church car park. We strongly recommend walking or coming by public transport as in previous years this has been a very popular event.
The weather forecast is currently quite promising, although cold, but we do expect to hold the event this year even if it's raining so please come prepared! Further information will be added here, so do check the website before setting out on 16 December.
No admission charge, but donations towards costs would be welcome.
Open House - every Thursday in the Church Hub, 10am to 4pm
An informal drop-in, where everyone is welcome to pop in at any time for a chat or light refreshments in the big carpeted open church space. Play area for young children. Informal prayers are held at 12.00pm in the Lounge, and all are welcome to join in.
Our prayer network is a means by which prayer requests of pastoral concern can be relayed to those who have expressed a desire to pray in this way. Alison Macdonald is coordinating this task, in conjunction with our minister, Sister Myrtle Poxon who ensures prayer requests are appropriate and do not breach confidentiality. Prayer requests are then passed on by text, email, or phone to the members of the prayer network.
If you would like to join the prayer network, or have a prayer request, please email Alison Macdonald. Alternatively, requests for prayers can be left in a box in the church porch - these are then used in our worship services throughout the week.
Exercise Classes for the Over 60s.
Fridays at 10.15am during term-time. Please email email@example.com if you would like more information about Fitness classes.
