What's On

See details of our worship services for June.

Evening Worship at 6pm

There is a monthly evening service of a more contemplative nature, exploring themes on healing. The next service will be on 25 June. There will not be an evening service during July or August.

Muswell Hill Methodist Church Music in the Gardens 2017

Once again, the church and its extensive grounds will be open every Sunday during July and August, from 2-5pm. There will be live music of varying styles each week from about 3pm. If it's wet, this will happen indoors! Refreshments are available, or you are welcome to bring a picnic (but strictly, no alcohol). There will be some play equipment for younger children.

Program for July
2 July Enjoy the lovely voice of Ruth Stobbs, supported by pianist Alan Mills, and marvel at the tap-dancing and musical skills of her pupil Jordan. Bowes Park Folk Club also make a first appearance.
9 July Edward Bunting (violin) and Alan Mills (piano) bring a selection of Irish folk melodies, and we enjoy Alan's solo piano.
16 July The folk group Somebody Else's Troubles sing for us again in Muswell Hill, with further contributions form Bowes Park Folk Club.
23 July Life and Mission Choir return to Muswell Hill with songs of fun and faith.
30 July Pianist Catherine Simms entertains us with a range of popular and classical music.

Open House - every Thursday in the Church Hub, 10am to 4pm

An informal drop-in, where everyone is welcome to pop in at any time for a chat or light refreshment. Play space for young children. Prayers are held at lunchtime, and the church is open for quiet contemplation throughout the day.

Prayer Network

Our prayer network is a means by which prayer requests of pastoral concern can be relayed to those who have expressed a desire to pray in this way. Alison Macdonald is coordinating this task, in conjunction with our minister, Sister Myrtle Poxon, and our pastoral convenor, Liz Gamble, who ensure prayer requests are appropriate and do not breach confidentiality. Prayer requests are then passed on by text, email, or phone to the members of the prayer network.

If you would like to join the prayer network, or have a prayer request, please email Alison Macdonald.
