Booking a room at Muswell Hill Methodist Church

Muswell Hill Methodist Church has a number of rooms available to hire in North Bank, the Victorian villa adjoining the church. This building was extensively refurbished in 2007, with the improvements including the upgrading of the kitchen and the installation of a lift to all floors.

Various church and community groups use these rooms for their activities and we have rooms to let either on a one-off basis, or as a regular booking. The building has rooms of various sizes on three floors, all of which are accessible to all via a lift. These are suitable for a wide range of events including counselling, training sessions, seminars and quiet days. Many of the rooms look out on the beautiful grounds of the North Bank Estate - see below for more information about the rooms available.

Please download our leaflet giving more information about our rooms and letting policy. All room bookings will be made according to the terms of a Methodist Church licence agreement. Our Booking Terms leaflet gives full details, including indicative rates for the different rooms, although these are negotiable for regular, long-term bookings. You will be asked to complete a booking form, and also to view a series of videos on the safe use of our building before the room hire can proceed.

Please note that this agreement does not permit the sale or consumption of alcohol on the premises, nor are we permitted by Methodist Standing Orders to let to groups wishing to hold non-Christian acts of worship.

We will get back to you as soon as we can. The lettings manager works irregular, part-time hours, so please be patient if you do not get an immediate response.

Children's Parties

Regretfully, due to other commitments on Saturdays, we are no longer able to take bookings for children's parties.

  • All rooms have chairs and tables, and all are carpeted with the exception of the Garden Room, which has a wooden floor.
  • The Garden Room and Oak Room benefit from an audio loop system.
  • There is a fully equipped kitchen with crockery for up to 80 people. If you wish to use the full facilities of the kitchen, it must be booked for a per session charge. However, if you only need to make drinks, this can usually be arranged and will not normally incur an extra charge.
  • Use of the grounds must be requested at the time of booking and is subject to negotiation.
