Greenbelt Festival Talks
What is Greenbelt? It’s a faith-based music and arts festival that takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend in the grounds of Boughton House near Kettering, and a number of folk from MHMC have attended the festival over many years, either for the whole weekend or just for a day.
We’re somewhere artistry meets activism, where the political meets the practical. We’re somewhere to come together once a year, where we’re as likely to dream up a better world as we are to dance and debate, to pray and to party.
A key feature of the weekend are the many and varied talks on a broad range of topics, which are recorded and made available as a resource after the event. Talks from the past 15 years are freely available on the Greenbelt website. The 60+ festival talks of 2022 have been purchased for the benefit of our church community and are available on a secure page via the button below. Please consider making a donation to the Greenbelt Communion Offering for access to this facility.
If you’re wondering where to start, maybe these two talks will whet your appetite (the link will take you to the talk description on the Greenbelt site):
- Caroline Lucas and Less Waste Laura discussing The Power of One
- John Bell on Pandemical Faith and Doubt
Please use the short form below to let us know which talks you have enjoyed so we can promote them to others in future blog posts – thanks!
